How Many People Would Like to do This?
Bill Taggart
October 07, 2008 3:30 PM

Richard Fuld, former CEO of now-bankrupt Lehman Brothers, who took home somewhere between $300 million and $480 million over the past several years, was working out in the Lehman Brothers company gym shortly after the public announcement of the firm’s bankruptcy.  Another person also working out in the gym walked over to Mr. Fuld, punched him the face and knocked him out cold

Reader Comments:

In the hearings Fuld was quick to say he took full responsibility for the performance of Lehman Brothers.

Full responsibility is fast becoming a cliche which means “I want to escape all responsibility”. Or, “I want to use the word responsibility in place of accountibility”. “I want to huff and puff and pretend I care”.

He got upset, not at himself, but at why the Feds allowed his company to fail.

After all, isn’t he entitled to a bailout too ? Whatsa fella gotta do to get a bailout around here ?

No R.Smith. If someone punched BFrank they would be guilty of a “hate crime”, especially in DC.

It may not be “politically Correct” or “Charitable” or “Christian” - but it sure made me feel good to read it! Why not strip Mr. Fuld of all of his possessions the way he led his company to rape many innocent people. He looks like a dead fish.

I think it’s a good thing.

Now if someone would only punch Barney Frank.

Repeatedly.

And I can think of a few “journalists” who need a good ass kickin’ too.

Maybe this will start a trend.

If I did not value nonviolence as a Green, I would say CEOs and politicians “are in season”.

Whoops, I said it.

Apparently, the CEO was not getting his money’s worth from the gym. If he was truly cold cocked, then it he should sue the gym and its staff for not doing its job in keeping him in tip top shop. Then the gym could go for a bailout.

Ah yes, that’s right. Disadvantaged; financially challenged; exploring other options in life; marching to the beat of a different drummer…..

HEY!!! THAT’S A MARK HOLMBERG COLUMN RIGHT THERE!

But Larry, it is OK if he cold-cocks you. Aside from the fact that there are no “street bums”, only the disadvantaged and homeless, it is unfair for you to have the whole $5 to spend. Unless you split the $5 with the disadvantaged person, you deserve a punch-in-the-nose. Just ask NObama smile

Nah, sorry I don’t agree this type of thing—punching someone because they have & I don’t. To rationalize that is to rationalize some street bum cold-cocking me because I have $5 and they only have 30-cents.
