How Would You React. . . .
Bart Hinkle

. . . if you were mistaken for a terrorist, kidnapped, imprisoned, and abused for several months before someone realized they had the wrong guy and dumped you out on the street?

Proably like this guy, no?

Reader Comments:

Are Kucinich’s buddies from the UFO backing the impeachment bill also?

“Take us to your leader!  We come impeachment.“

Klaatu verada nicto.

Sorry, Bart
Have been frustrated that my comments on articles have not appeared on articles within paper while others’ have.  Forgot you allow posts without moderation.
CSpan1 is currently live-airing a reading of 35 articles of impeachment for Bush, introduced by Kucinich, in the House.  Likely to go on for another hour or so.  A vote likely tomorrow.  Saw some of the FBI/Torture hearing in the senate today.  If impeachment doesn’t take place, how will Obama or McCain be kept from doing the McSame?  This is serious and anybody who thinks there isn’t time for impeachment isn’t paying attention. The evidence is here.  As someone said tonight somewhere, “It must be hard for congress members to walk from the house floor to their offices without tripping over the abundant crimes.“  Not an exact quote but think it came from Howard Fineman, not a liberal by any stretch of the imagination.
So thanks for letting me vent and hope these 35 articles of impeachment are reported on in the Richmond Times Dispatch.

Why is this focus of column?  No offense Bart, but I wrote you and other editors pointing out the historic stance of Dennis Kucinich and his articles of impeachment of Bush (right now being reread by the clerk of the House on CSpan1) and asked that your paper report last night’s 4 hour speaking of truth to power.  From online version, I see it wasn’t in the RTD.  You can watch now on cable or your computer and hear that someone is willing to stand up to what you have a problem with.  Question is will you give some inches to his bravery.  Peace, Rain

Ol’ bob continues to amaze me with his ability to totally ignore reality. I’ve stated many times that I’m not religious yet, bob needs to brand me as such in order to squeeze me into that teeny tiny little crevice in his head that passes for a brain. I guess if being an ignorant, ass lapping tool of the robotic left is your life’s goal then, such behavior is understandable. Especially when you have nothing else to show for your time in this world.

As for the topic above….I dunno…maybe I use my experience to highlight how evil America is. I’d shop it around to all the usual characters for mass media exploitation. I’d rent myself out to politicians eager to exploit me for political gain. I’d laugh my ass off at the Haditha Marines who were wrongly accused of murder but will never get 1 - 1000th the fawning coverage I do because our media could care a less about Marines being ***ked over by scumbag, grandstanding politicians.

Maybe Jim Webb could wear THEIR boots for a day or two.

I’d turn my experience into a million bucks. That’s what I’d do.

“The real enemy is not our government. “

I do not think that anyone left or right
would agree with that, for different reasons. Maybe Larry would like to have more Earl Washingtons, The guy who spent a bunch of years on Death Row, falsely accused.  Go no further than your local Bible and its 9th (I believe, ask R. Smith for the numbers) that “thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. “ In other words, framing ,torturing, falsely convicting someone, punishing them with out due process is wrong in the view of most decent people.

About as good as I’d feel if I were spending a lovely eveining with my girlfriend—the got shot in the BACK because I refused to get inside of the car trunk.

The real issues are local. The real enemy is not our government.
