If The Governor Wants Your Opinion. . .
Bart Hinkle
March 06, 2007 2:52 PM

. . . he’ll give it to you.

The text says Governor Tim Kaine “is looking for citizen input. . .  Please take a few moments to tell us what you think.“ Uh hunh. But the way the feedback page is set up, it might as well say: “I think Governor Kaine is right for the following reasons [please check all that apply].“

Well, it’s good for a chuckle. Or at least more of a chuckle than Ann Coulter’s latest gibe. (Not that that’s, you know, saying much. . . .)

Caustic wit burns the brains from the inside out. Careful. We’re turning this into a chat room , I’ll stop now.

margie,

You are absolutely right. Let me explain. I was deeply hurt by Bart’s thesaurus comment. You see, my family was very poor when I was growing up. We had to choose between buying shoes or new thesarusese’s. We bought the books but, it was cold out (this was during the 70’s when the new ice age was imminent), and we had to wear the thesauraseses on our feets as shoes. Every time I wanted to use a new word, I would hold up my foot so my sister could read it, but the words were all smeared so all we could do is sit and cry. So you see, I’ve always been very sensitive about my limited vocabulary.

I will, however, endeavor to hold tightly the reins of my caustic potty mouth from this point forward, if only because I don’t think I could bear reliving the pain of those horrible memories over again.

Backing up—my welcome in no way implies agreement with your comment. What Ann said was cheap and distasteful and so was your comment. You can do better.

Welcome, R. Smith!

R. Smith is back with fury!!!

Welcome my friend..LOL.

You surely have been missed.

Gov Kaine wants to tax and not spend so he can leave his Clinton/Warner playbook “surplus legacy”.

Redtape, potholes, and partisan bickering will be all that he is remembered for.

Say what you want about Ann Coulter….she doesen’t drop to her knees to service her PC masters like a $10 crack whore with a $50,000 degree and a $2 thesaurus.

Hey Bart, thank you for pointin that out, but I ain’t no fool to begin with. I saw them choices and new I had to use my own mind instead. I checked the “Other” box and did just that:

“Because Gubbner Kaine said the bill ought to be fixed because we gotta fight them evul Republicans.“

Now, be fair, Bart. The governor was putting words in our mouths, ok, but there was an “other” place where I wrote “lacking a dedicated, locked in source of revenue that is fair to everyone”. It will be interesting to see if he uses ‘the will of the people’ to justify whatever action he takes.
