Al Gore is doing well by doing good. And more power to him! But it seems unlikely Michael Moore would approve. . . . If capitalism is evil, venture capital is the root of all evil, no?

Reader Comments:

Does MMoore REALLY believe capitalism is evil ?  (in his case, not impossible)

Whether Gore is simply putting his money where his mouth is and advocating for his “passions” or whether he is a slicky dicky trickster nasty U.S. hating Democrat, well, it depends on your point of view.

The simplest explanation because it makes no extreme inferences and relies on no conspiracies is that Gore is and was already rich and is probably more motivated by his own internal desire to produce a legacy, i.e. his big fat ego. than anything else.

However, if you like conspiracies, in the immortal words of Bart, more power to you.

For the more cynical among us, a note that money may not be the operative factor but neither can it be easily removed from the equation.

There is the money from one side that contributes to negative ads paid for by openly corporate sources and the money on the other side that channels cash to politicians and movements. Or vice versa.

Both are making a fortune off the stupidity of a certain element of the American public.

That says it all.
