Obama Suck-Up Watch, Pt. 4
Bart Hinkle
July 24, 2008 10:17 AM

Media donations to the respective presidential nominees are running 20 to 1 in favor of Obama:

Two-hundred thirty-five journalists donated to Democrats, just 20 gave to Republicans — a margin greater than 10-to-1. An even greater disparity, 20-to-1, exists between the number of journalists who donated to Barack Obama and John McCain.

Searches for other newsroom categories (reporters, correspondents, news editors, anchors, newspaper editors and publishers) produces 311 donors to Democrats to 30 donors to Republicans, a ratio of just over 10-to-1. In terms of money, $279,266 went to Dems, $20,709 to Republicans, a 14-to-1 ratio.

Reader Comments:

There is only one thing to do. Media General and the T_D must make mandatory
payroll deductions of 20% flat rate, not progressive from every Media General employee. Never mind that is illegal. we can deal with that legal nicety later. Even if some lower ranking employee loses his or her job, loses a house or a child dies, we must get that 20% of their check. John McCain must win.

Not surprising in the “perfect storm of liberalism” for election 2008. As American society moves closer to minority rule, the election of a black President is assured. One is not measured by merit but by color of skin or racial heritage.

The media loves this situation and wants to promote it for stories and income. It sells. Whites are boring, racial minorities are not. Obama is the messiah whereas McCain is nothing more than another old man nominated by the GOP.
