Michael Moore can retire. The perfect way to resolve the debate over health care has been conceived.
It’s a thing of beauty, too.
Reader Comments:
Was just reading a sad (InRich.com)news update, “Pedestrian hit and killed in Richmond.” The update mentions that, “The victim died at CJW Medical Center’s Chippenham Campus.”
Yeah…probably because they found out he didn’t have insurance.
Mark, I’ve read and made note of your posts. For the love of God man…go out and get some exercise or something. You’ll feel a little better about yourself, hopefully. Will talk to you soon.
PS - “Pfffppphhht! I’d be surprised if you can even hold a steady job.”
Say hi to your Mom when she brings another Blue Ribbon down to your basement apartment, Dude!
And yeah, for the record, I would say that to your face.
Bye!

Mark Dorroh, I will continue to make my points as I please.
Dear Sir:
OK, I’m not the sort of person who is qualified to either make points nor criticize the vituperation of others.
Stipulated.
But I am also a man who is capable of making points without attacking my debate mate.
That you could eventually adhere to this odd interpretation of what it means for grownups to get together and swap ideas, I may only hope.
I find it odd that you would defend the ad hominem argument in spite of all the empirical evidence that it is the first refuge of the true scoundrel … but I don’t know you well, so I won’t presume to assign you character deficiencies on the basis of what may only be described as limited knowledge.
I will tell you this: Were we to meet casually at the party of a mutual friend and begin discussing this same issue, you and the other flaming Trolls on this thread would never say 9/10 of the rancid, intolerant, childish things you dare write from behind the anonymity of a keyboard.
My cell phone # is 240-0354, and any time you see fit to insult my intelligence or character, I invite you to call me. I can take insults from a grown man - heavens, I was a local radio and newspaper reporter for 18 years, and developed a particularly thick skin - so if you mean what you write, gimme a call and speak it softly into my little, pink, shell-like ear, mon ami.
But you never will, any more than Islamofascists will ever come out from behind the skirts of their women and the tender young bodies of their own children to fight for their supposedly just cause against armed, uniformed combatants.
And for the same reason.
I shan’t name the reason. I leave that to you.
But for the record, I’ll neither read nor respond to any future postings of yours. We have two different sets of rules for civilized debate, and never the twain will meet, my man.
Rock on, Big Guy,
Mark
R. Smith, I read your reply to P. Martin. I won’t take the time right now to add anything detailed to the discussion, but I will say that I, like you, long for the days when doctors were doctors. It was non-complex and effective.
The consulting room after the examination; solid advice; give me a call if you need anything; thank you; pay cash; bye bye til next time.
Dear Mr. Dorroh,
Your response to Mr. Lanberg’s comment had the tact of a gorrila and acomplished nothing useful or informative. His was entertaining and he is right. Don’t think the Whistler thought his plan through. Hey, we’re all in this together. No ‘them’ and ‘us’ plan is going to work.
P.Martin,
It just seems to me that there’s something out of whack with the whole discussion.
I can remember going to the “doctor” as a child, getting stitched up and seing my father actually pay the doctor for doing it…with actual money! I’m only 43 so, it hasn’t been that long ago.
Some time between then and now “medicine” became the “health care industry”.
You’re right about the lawyers and HMO’s, although I seem to remember that Ted Kennedy was a big promoter of those fellas as well. However, you’ve left out another player in the current racket…likely the biggest player with the longest, greasiest fingers…gov’t.
It just seems that every time gov’t starts minding other peoples business, everything get’s very expensive and everyone ends up pissed off.
R. Smith..
Current veterinary care is an excellent example of affordable health care. Albeit, it’s not for humans.
There are TWO primary reasons healthcare is so expensive and lacking in this country:
1. Lawyers (the grand-daddy of parasites)
2. HMO’s (a modern-day parasite granted political existant through the Nixon administration.. did ANYTHING good from from the Nixon administration?)
I have worked in the healthcare industry since 1998, and it’s only getting worse. The only think WORSE than the Nixon endorsement of the HMO’s was the Bush administrations endorsement and ram-rodding of the Part-D legislation which effectively SCREWED EVERYONE but the drug companies. Although I love the trinkets the drug companies give us on a weekly basis, the paid-vacations are usually reserved for doctors and pharmacists.
Mark Dorroh, I will continue to make my points as I please.
PS- Sorry for the double posting. My computer sucks, and the guy who operates it is a ninny.
Mark
