Satire Lives

It’s tempting to conclude current events have rendered satire inoperative; how you lampoon that which is already extravagantly absurd? Such reasoning might explain why the late, great Satire Wire is no more (though the site is still online). Andy Borowitz does what he can, as does Scott Ott at Scrappleface.
Here are two more fine contributions to the genre—“Iraqi Leaders Call for Moment of Violence During Ramadan” from The Onion, and “It’s the Homos, Stupid” from Iowahawk. Enjoy.
