This video—click on No. 1398—is surely one of the vilest things you’ll ever see: the interview of two children of a suicide bomber on Al-Aqsa TV (translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute—MEMRI).
Excerpt:
“Dhoha, you love mama, right? Where did mama go?“
“To Paradise.“
“What did mama do?“
“She committed martyrdom.“
“She killed Jews, right? How many did she kill, Muhammad?“
“Huh?“
“How many Jews did mama kill?“
“This many.“
“How many is that?“
“Five. “
It’s been said before, and it’s worth saying again: If the Arabs put down their weapons, there would be no more war. If the Jews put down their weapons, there would be no more Jews.

Scott, explore the Memri site for a while. Read the transcripts, watch the clips. Then try to find anything remotely comparable, in Israeli media, to the hatred of Jews and glorification of Jew-killing and celebration of death that is routine in state-sanctioned Arab media.
No one celebrates the death of Rachel Corrie. (It’s Corrie, by the way, not Corey. If you’re going to nvoke her name, at least get it right.)
No one says Jews will go to Heaven for killing Arabs.
I’m sorry you find the truth of the matter so upsetting.
Among other things disturbing about this film clip is the tone of the interview—as if nothing too out of the ordinary has just happened. That’s the tone of the interviewer and the children both.
If this war idea works so great then why — several years later— does the killing (mentioned above) continue to occur?
“If you always do what you’ve always done, then you’ll continue to get what you’ve always got.“
When I see this type of abuse going on, it reminds me of why we went to Iraq in the first place.
This video should be aired on every national news channel everynight, as a reminder of why we must stay and fight.
Wow. What’s that? An Israeli nursery rhyme?
I guess I could respond with something about Rachel Corey and a bulldozer, but what’s the point if that is really the simplistic level of discourse you wish to engage in on this topic?
I have better things to do. I have not given up on the idea of peace in the Middle East.
Yet another reason this newspaper sucks.
